P.S.I. Auction

History

During a meeting of the sport legends George Morris, Frank Chapot and Paul Schockemöhle on the occasion of the World Cup Finale in 1980, the idea of P.S.I. - Performance Sales International - was born.

At that time, the basic idea was that American equestrian sport would tremendously benefit with the possibility of offering selected horses from the big European breeding areas, especially from Germany and the Netherlands, to American customers.

But as it was also very difficult to find completely trained Grand Prix-horses for dressage and show jumping in appropriate quantities, it was decided to focus on selecting highly-gifted competition prospects that would perfectly adapt to the American training system after qualified and age-appropriate basic training.

Following two successfully held auctions in the United States, customers in Europe also asked for such a type of auction. Therefore, it was decided to continue this unique sales event in Germany, at the Ankum Sports Centre.

In the meantime, lots of auctions were held, and there were smaller or bigger sensations at almost each auction.

The sonic barrier of one million Euro was broken several times, but the amount of 2.5 million Euro achieved for Federal Champion "Poetin" will be hard to top.

Months before the actual auction date, the work with and at the new auction collection starts in the training stables of Ullrich Kasselmann and Paul Schockemöhle so that everybody can look forward to the next P.S.I.-auctions with pleasure.
